Job summary

Mobis Alabama LLC is seeking a Head of the Business Support Group (HoG) to partner with the President/CEO and executive team, driving governance, budgets, and strategic direction for General Affairs, Facility Management, IT, ERP, and Corporate Services across its Michigan locations.

The HoG will lead a multi-functional team, establish KPIs, oversee major service contracts, and ensure alignment with corporate directives while maintaining regulatory compliance and financial stewardship.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Facility Management, Construction Management, Information Technology, or related discipline.
• Minimum fifteen (15) years of progressive professional experience.
• At least seven (7) years’ experience in a managerial role in a manufacturing environment.
• Significant management experience in GA/FAC and/or IT/ERP related functions.
• Demonstrated experience leading multi-functional support organizations within a manufacturing environment.
• Proven experience managing significant operating and capital budgets.
• Experience leading manager-level leaders and cross-functional teams.
• Experience supporting executive leadership and strategic organizational initiatives.
• Project management experience.

Responsibilities

• Partner with the President/CEO and executive leadership team to develop and execute annual business plans and long-term strategic initiatives.
• Establish organizational objectives, KPIs, and operating priorities for all Business Support Group functions.
• Provide executive-level recommendations regarding operational priorities, organizational structure, resource allocation, and investment decisions.
• Ensure alignment between HQ expectations, headquarters requirements, and local capabilities/resources.
• Provide leadership, coaching, and performance oversight to department managers and senior managers responsible for GA, Facility Management, IT, ERP, and related functions.
• Establish governance standards and accountability frameworks across all functional areas.
• Monitor performance and validate execution against approved plans and objectives.
• Oversee strategic vendor relationships and major service contracts.
• Own and oversee operating and capital budgets for General Affairs, Facility Management, IT, ERP, and Corporate Services.
• Lead annual budget planning, forecasting, cost optimization, and variance analysis.
• Review, prioritize, and approve resource allocation and capital investment plans.
