Job summary

Liberty University, Inc. is seeking an Executive Director of Aviation Maintenance Training Operations to lead all FAA-regulated maintenance training programs, manage a multi-million dollar budget, and drive continuous improvement across laboratories, hangars, and instructional equipment.

The role ensures regulatory compliance with 14 CFR Part 147 and alignment of curriculum with degree requirements, while fostering industry partnerships and student success in FAA certification pathways.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Aeronautics, Aviation Management, or related field.
• 10+ years of progressive experience in aviation maintenance training or operations.
• 5+ years in leadership of aviation maintenance training or operations management.
• Experience leading FAA-regulated programs and collaborating across academic, operational, and external stakeholder environments.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership and direction for all aviation maintenance training operations.
• Oversee budget development and lifecycle management of facilities, tooling, and instructional equipment.
• Ensure FAA compliance and continuous improvement of training quality and student outcomes.
• Coordinate curriculum development with Associate Deans and Executive Directors to align with degree requirements.
