Job summary

Encompass Health is seeking a Chief Nursing Officer in Morgantown, WV, to lead nursing excellence across a growing inpatient rehabilitation network. You will foster a patient-focused, team-oriented culture, oversee nursing quality, and drive programs that improve outcomes.

The role requires RN licensure, BLS, and a plan to obtain CRRN within a year, plus substantial nursing leadership experience. This on-site leadership opportunity includes a comprehensive benefits package and career growth

Qualifications

Current RN licensure as required by state regulations.
BLS certification (ACLS preferred).
Commit to obtaining CRRN certification within a year of eligibility.
Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or related field; higher degree may be mandated by state regulations.
Five years of experience in an inpatient hospital setting.
Two years of Nursing Management experience with 24-hour accountability, budget oversight, and policy implementation.
Ability to work varied shifts including weekdays and/or weekends, evenings and/or nights.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with medical, clinical, and therapeutic disciplines to foster a patient-focused culture delivering superior service and outcomes.
Develop patient care programs, policies, and procedures for nursing care and services.
Represent nursing on committees (Governing Body, Quality Council, Med Exec, Infection Control, Education, Ethics).
Support cultural diversity and maintain an inclusive work environment.
Drive staffing optimization using acuity-based models and data-driven decision making to meet NHPPD budgets.
Ensure compliance with Joint Commission, CMS, state rehabilitation nursing, and hospital standards.
Celebrate staff and patient achievements along the journey.
