Job summary

Pacific Grove Hospital in Riverside, CA seeks a Chief Nursing Officer to lead clinical excellence and operational performance within our inpatient behavioral health program. This executive role focuses on patient safety, quality outcomes, and a strategic nursing direction.

You will mentor nursing leaders, oversee staffing models and budgets, ensure compliance with The Joint Commission and CMS, and collaborate with physicians to drive continuous improvement.

Qualifications

  • Active RN license (California or eligible for reciprocity)
  • Proven nursing leadership experience (CNO, DON, or equivalent)
  • Behavioral health nursing experience in an inpatient psychiatric setting
  • BSN required; MSN or specialty certification preferred
  • 6+ years of RN experience (10+ preferred)
  • 3+ years of progressive nursing leadership
  • 2+ years of inpatient behavioral health RN experience

  • Ensure compliance with The Joint Commission (TJC), CMS, and state regulatory standards
