Qualifications

• BSN is required.
• Master's degree is required.
• Active RN license or ability to obtain appropriate state licensure.
• Minimum 5 years of hospital experience.
• Minimum 2 years of nursing management experience.
• Strong understanding of hospital operations, staffing, quality, regulatory compliance, and patient safety.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary leaders to improve patient care and clinical outcomes.

Job Details

The Chief Nursing Officer is responsible for the overall leadership, direction, and performance of nursing services and several related clinical departments.

The role will oversee nursing operations, clinical quality, staffing, employee development, regulatory compliance, patient care standards, and interdisciplinary collaboration across the hospital.

The current nursing structure includes four Nurse Supervisors, one Nurse Manager, and leaders across infection control, education, respiratory therapy, dialysis, and wound care.

Nursing ratios are generally approximately 1:7-8 patients, adjusted based on patient acuity.

The incoming CNO will also play an important role in regulatory readiness, with the hospital currently within its Joint Commission survey window.
