Job summary

CBS2/FOX9 seeks a Chief Meteorologist to lead weather coverage across television and digital platforms from Boise, Idaho. You will craft forecasts, deliver engaging weather stories, issue timely warnings and present across on-air and online channels.

Ideal candidates have strong forecasting skills, knowledge of Idaho weather, and proven ability to write clearly for diverse audiences. A Bachelor’s degree in Meteorology or related field is preferred.

Qualifications

  • In-Depth knowledge of forecasting.
  • Knowledge of Idaho weather preferred.
  • Sharp news judgement and exceptional writing skills.
  • Ability to multitask while meeting deadlines and prioritizing tasks.
  • Ability to produce impactful content for social media.
  • Bachelor's degree in Meteorology, or related field, or an equivalent combination of education and work-related experience.
