Job summary

Ascension is seeking a physician leader to guide clinical strategy and oversee quality initiatives at the Franklin Campus. The role includes directing clinical programs, promoting patient safety, and ensuring alignment with organizational goals.

Preferred candidates will have progressive clinical leadership experience and a proven ability to engage physicians while balancing executive responsibilities with clinical practice.

What Minimum Requirements You’ll Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration

• Required Credential(s):

• One or more of the following:

• Dentist obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.

• Optometrist obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.

• Physician MD/DO obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.

• Podiatrist obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.

Education

• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) or Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) or Doctor of Optometry (OD) or Doctor of Podiatric Medicine (DPM) or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) required.

• Progressive physician leadership experience, such as Chief of Staff, Associate Chief Medical Officer, Medical Director, or a comparable leadership role.
• Demonstrated success in clinical leadership with increasing levels of responsibility.
• Strong physician engagement, relationship-building, and collaboration skills.
• Experience driving clinical quality, patient safety, and performance improvement initiatives.
• Ability to balance executive leadership responsibilities with an active clinical practice.
• Demonstrated potential and interest in continued executive leadership development.
