CMO Room is set to be the go-to destination for CMOs seeking a collaborative space to network and be part of a vibrant community of marketing leaders.

Job Description:

CMO Room is currently searching for an experienced, multifaceted Chief Marketing Officer to join our team. This is a primarily remote position with travel required.

CMO Room is looking for an expert connector who empowers marketing leaders to navigate and champion their respective industries via diverse opportunities & exclusive entry to a highly engaged, peer-to-peer community. This position is responsible for networking with CMOs worldwide to cultivate a collaborative community. This position also includes overseeing regular meet-up events and leveraging networks to ensure continued growth for the community. The individual selected for this role must have a working knowledge of a wide variety of enterprise-level live event types, strong communication skills, high energy, and be goal and deadline-oriented.

This position focuses on engaging with CMOs directly through outreach (email, LinkedIn, call/SMS) and works alongside the marketing team. This position reports to the CEO.

Responsibilities:

• Leverage network of CMOs through outreach to foster the expansion of the community (online and in-person)
• Connect with CMOs to extend invitations to regular community gatherings
• Facilitate planning and execution of regular community gatherings
• Recruiting of new CMOS to participate in CMO Room events
• Website responsibilities include checking RSVPs and updating event page content
• Content responsibilities include weekly recorded interviews with CMOs to be used on our blog, upcoming podcast, and upcoming YouTube, Instagram, and Facebook accounts
• Marketing responsibilities include posting events to LinkedIn, uploading CMO interviews to all platforms

Required Experience and Qualifications:

• Willingness and ability to travel monthly across the U.S.
• Strong network of CMO contacts
• 8+ years of event planning, coordination, and/or management experience
• Excellent project management, organization, and time management skills
• The ability to thrive in a highly collaborative, fast-paced, team-oriented environment with colleagues from diverse disciplines
• Enthusiasm for the details and the ability to balance competing priorities
• Strong communication skills (including being comfortable speaking to online and in-person audiences)
• Experience with GSuite
• Experience with email and LinkedIn marketing
• Marketing and experiential/tradeshow executive experience
• Public speaking experience
