Cowboy Space Corp. in California seeks a Head of Marketing & Communications to define the company’s external narrative and lead the team responsible for storytelling across media, campaigns, and events.

You will shape market positioning, manage executive communications, and guide partnerships and investor materials, collaborating with leadership to translate milestones into impactful messaging. This role requires strategic thinking, strong execution, and leadership to build a world‑class

Qualifications

• 7+ years of marketing, brand strategy, corporate communications, product marketing, or related field.
• 2+ years of directly managing and developing communications, marketing, or creative professionals.
• Hands-on experience leading media and public relations, including building relationships with press.
• Ability to set clear expectations, provide actionable feedback, and support strong performance.
• Experience defining market positioning and messaging for a technical or mission-driven company.
• Ability to translate company strategy into integrated marketing plans and campaigns.
• Strong writing, editing, presentation, and narrative development skills.
• Experience leading website strategy, digital content, social, events, and external creative work.
• Experience developing materials for investors, business partners, customers, or other strategic audiences.
• Strong understanding of marketing performance measures, audience engagement, and brand sentiment.

Responsabilités

• Define market narrative, competitive positioning, and core messaging pillars.
• Oversee campaigns for fundraising, recruiting, partnerships, and thought leadership.
• Lead media and public relations: earned-media coverage of milestones and announcements.
• Partner with leadership to align executive and corporate communications with marketing narrative.
• Develop the company’s event strategy, including conferences, speaking opportunities, sponsorships, and hosted events.
• Directly lead and develop the Executive & Corporate Communications Partner; set goals and provide coaching.
• Manage budgets, agencies, vendors, and contractors; track marketing performance and ROI.
