Job summary

ABS Group in Houston seeks a seasoned Vice President and General Counsel to lead the legal function, guide corporate strategy, and oversee transactions including mergers and acquisitions. Qualifications

• J.D. or LL.B. from an accredited institution.
• 15+ years of corporate law with emphasis on contracts and mergers and acquisitions.
• Significant experience in M&A, commercial contracts, and governance.

Responsibilities

• Develops short- and long-range strategic plans for ABSG worldwide, including growth initiatives and M&A.
• Writes, reviews, negotiates, interprets, and manages all legal contracts.
• Counsels management on legal implications and potential liabilities.
• Advises executive management on laws impacting business operations.
• Develops and implements policies to protect assets and ensure regulatory compliance.
