Niantic Spatial seeks a Head of Legal to build the legal function from the ground up and partner with Sales, Product, Engineering, Finance, People, Security, and the executive team. You will negotiate strategic commercial agreements, advise on regulatory matters, and establish practical processes to move the business quickly while managing risk.

This foundational role reports to the CEO/President and COO, shaping legal strategy and organization as Niantic Spatial scales, with a focus on

Competenze

• J.D. from an accredited law school and active California Bar membership.
• 8+ years of combined law firm and in-house experience at high-growth technology companies.
• Experience negotiating complex enterprise technology and commercial agreements (software licensing, SaaS, AI, data).
• Ability to independently manage a broad range of legal matters with sound business judgment.

Mansioni

• Advise executive leadership on legal, strategic, and business matters.
• Lead enterprise contracting, develop standard agreements and negotiation playbooks.
• Oversee corporate governance, Board support, and corporate records.
• Provide guidance on privacy, AI governance, IP, export controls, and regulatory compliance.
• Build and scale the legal function, including processes, templates, and outside counsel management.
• Manage disputes and drive litigation strategy as needed.
