Job summary

Northwell Health seeks a senior Labor Relations leader to oversee counsel and guidance on labor relations aligned with organizational goals. The role leads the development, integration and administration of Labor Relations policies, services and programs across the Health System.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or higher in a related field.
• Extensive labor relations and collective bargaining experience.
• Strong leadership and strategic thinking abilities.
• Experience as chief spokesperson in union negotiations is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides labor relations support with leadership input; represents employer in collective bargaining.
• Leads bargaining strategy and negotiations for assigned units with senior leaders.
• Delivers enterprise-level labor relations guidance and oversight.
• Manages operational projects and strategic initiatives in labor relations.
• Partners with business leaders to strengthen relations with unions and represented staff.
• Applies advanced knowledge to resolve enterprise-wide labor relations issues.
• Ensures employee decisions align with strategic goals and fosters cross-level relationships.
• Provides coaching to department heads on labor relations and HR issues.
• Collaborates with HR to deliver high-quality HR services and drive people development.
• Performs related duties as required; adheres to ADA.

Education

Master's Degree

15 years technical experience

5 years leadership experience

7-10 years experience as first chair- Chief spokesperson for union negotiations
