Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in behavioral sciences, sociology, criminal justice or a related field.
• Master’s degree preferred.
• Texas certification as a Juvenile Probation Officer.

Responsibilities

• Directs all operations of the Juvenile Probation and Detention Department.
• Oversees twenty‑four hour juvenile detention facility operations, security, and meals.
• Develops policies and procedures to advance department goals and objectives.
• Prepares and monitors the department’s annual budget and oversees contracts with partner agencies.
