Job summary

Governor's Office of Information Technology (OIT) in Colorado seeks a Senior Director of Infrastructure Operations to bridge strategic vision with operational excellence. You will lead the design, performance, and resiliency of the state’s technology infrastructure, including networks, firewalls, data centers, databases, and DRP/COOP planning.

Qualifications

• Ten (10) years of progressive experience in IT infrastructure, including enterprise network architecture, firewalls, servers, data centers, and databases.
• Minimum of five (5) years of experience directly managing technology managers/directors and multi-layered teams.
• Demonstrated experience leading audit remediation efforts and engaging with auditors or regulators.
• Experience developing and maintaining DRP/COOP documentation, and leading disaster recovery testing.
• Strong knowledge of server administration, network security, firewall management, and database administration.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts for executive and non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the strategic roadmap for network, server, data center, and database infrastructure.
• Own architecture, performance, capacity planning, and lifecycle management of enterprise infrastructure.
• Establish standards and best practices for security, system architecture, and database management.
• Oversee remediation of audit findings and coordinate with internal/external auditors to demonstrate compliance.
• Plan and lead DRP/COOP documentation, testing, and remediation of gaps.
• Lead and develop Directors and Managers, fostering accountability and growth.
