Job summary

Link Solutions, Inc. seeks a Chief Infrastructure Engineer to lead enterprise infrastructure modernization for ARL IT modernization programs in Adelphi, MD.

Qualifications

• Active Secret Clearance or ability to obtain and maintain one.
• IAT Level II certification (CompTIA Security+ CE or higher) per DoD 8570/8140.
• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related technical discipline.
• Twelve or more years of progressive experience in supporting, engineering, architecting, or modernizing enterprise IT environments.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the senior technical advisor on enterprise infrastructure modernization and technology strategy initiatives.
• Evaluate existing infrastructure to identify modernization, automation, efficiency, and cost savings opportunities.
• Research emerging technologies and vendor solutions relevant to DoD and enterprise environments.
• Develop technical assessments, business cases, cost-benefit analyses, and executive briefings.
• Analyze technologies across Windows, Linux, macOS, identity services, networking, storage, virtualization, and cloud.
• Develop modernization roadmaps and strategic recommendations aligned with mission, security, and budget.
• Assist teams in troubleshooting complex infrastructure challenges.
• Review proposed technical solutions for feasibility, scalability and security.
• Identify opportunities to leverage IaC, automation, and AI-enabled tech.
• Support cybersecurity initiatives against RMF, ATO, Zero Trust, STIG, and vulnerabilities.
• Prepare white papers, decision briefs, and executive presentations for government stakeholders.
• Present findings and risks to government and contractor leadership.
• Maintain awareness of emerging technologies and best practices.
