Job summary

Link Solutions, Inc. seeks a Chief Infrastructure Engineer to lead enterprise infrastructure modernization for the ARL IT Modernization program in Adelphi, Maryland.

You will guide technology strategy, assess current environments, and drive modernization initiatives across Windows, Linux, macOS, cloud, and security domains. The ideal candidate will bring deep experience in infrastructure, automation, and IaC, with strong communication and a proven ability to present to government leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in IT, CS, Engineering, or Information Systems.
• Experience with Windows, Linux, and macOS environments.
• Proficiency in identity services, networking, storage, virtualization, and cloud technologies.
• Knowledge of automation, scripting, IaC, and operational efficiency best practices.
• Strong analytical and written/verbal communication skills.
• Active Secret Clearance preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the senior technical advisor on enterprise infrastructure modernization and technology strategy.
• Evaluate existing infrastructure and processes to identify modernization opportunities and cost savings.
• Research emerging technologies relevant to DoD, research, and enterprise environments.
• Develop business cases, cost-benefit analyses, and executive recommendations.
• Analyze Windows, Linux, macOS, identity services, networking, storage, and cloud technologies.
• Develop modernization roadmaps aligned with security, operations, and budget requirements.
• Lead troubleshooting and architecture reviews; support DoD and government leadership.
• Identify opportunities for automation, IaC, and AI-enabled operations.
• Support RMF, ATO, Zero Trust, STIG, and vulnerability management initiatives.
• Prepare white papers and executive briefs for government stakeholders.
