Job summary

Veritone seeks a VP, Information Security & Compliance to act as the Company’s Chief Information Security Officer, overseeing global enterprise security and compliance for SaaS and public sector environments.

Reporting to the Chief Legal Officer, this leader will design and mature an enterprise security strategy, guide risk mitigation, and partner with legal, finance and the board to ensure regulatory readiness and robust IT controls.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent.
10+ years of progressive leadership in information security, cloud architecture and compliance in a global cloud/SaaS company.
Hands-on FedRAMP experience through authorization lifecycle and continuous monitoring in AWS/Azure.
Fluency across commercial SaaS security and navigating rigid public sector regulatory landscapes (NIST 800-53, 800-171, CMMC, CJIS, FISMA).
Executive presence and ability to communicate security concepts to technical engineers, buyers, auditors and the Board.
Experience negotiating security exhibits, DPAs, and risk terms with enterprise clients and vendors.

Responsibilities

Architect and execute a multi-year enterprise security and compliance strategy aligned with growth.
Advise Board and executives; translate security risks into business terms.
Build and lead a global security and compliance team across operations, risk, and regulatory work.
Embed security controls into multi-tenant SaaS platforms and CI/CD pipelines.
Oversee incident response, threat intelligence, and risk management.
Enforce third-party risk programs and support SOX and SEC disclosures.
