Job summary

Veritone, Inc. seeks a VP, Information Security & Compliance to act as Chief Information Security Officer. You will design and mature security strategy protecting data, IP, and infrastructure across SaaS and public sector environments.

Reporting to the Chief Legal Officer, you will drive FedRAMP, NIST, and SOX readiness while guiding a global security and compliance organization. This role demands strategic vision and executive presence at the Board level.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS, Cybersecurity, CE, or IT.
• 10+ years in information security, cloud architecture, and compliance.
• Proven FedRAMP track record through authorization lifecycle.
• Experience with NIST, CMMC, CJIS, FISMA frameworks.
• Executive communication to Board, auditors, and leadership.
• Experience negotiating DPAs and security terms with clients.

Responsibilities

• Architect and execute enterprise security and compliance strategy.
• Advise Board and leadership; translate risks into business terms.
• Build and lead global security and compliance teams.
• Foster a security-first culture with training and advocacy.
• Lead FedRAMP, DoD, CJIS, and privacy framework programs.
• Oversee security operations, threat management, and incident response.
• Manage third-party risk, vendor risk programs, and M&A security.
• Develop BCP/DR and resilience programs.
