Job summary

Joyce University seeks a Chief Information Officer to build the internal technology organization and design AI-enabled systems for students and staff. You will lead the transition from outsourced services and shape the tech architecture to support growth and innovation.

You'll report to the Chief Operating Officer and sit on the President's Cabinet, guiding technology investment, data governance, and institutional risk while driving outcomes across the university.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science, information systems, business, or related field.
• Ten or more years of technology leadership with executive responsibility.
• Experience building or scaling internal technology structures and transitioning from outsourced to in-house.
• Track record of strategies improving performance through technology, data, analytics, and AI.

Responsibilities

• Lead the internal technology organization and transition from managed services to an in-house team.
• Set multi-year technology, data, and AI strategy aligned with the university's plan.
• Ensure secure, integrated platforms and oversee cybersecurity, continuity, and compliance.
• Advise the President, Cabinet, and Board on technology investment and risk.
