Job summary

Murdoch's is seeking a veteran technology leader to set and execute the companywide technology strategy across ERP, POS, eCommerce, and supply chain platforms. You will partner with stores, operations, marketing, and distribution to drive value and seamless customer experiences.

The role demands deep experience in retail technology ecosystems and a track record of building high-performing teams, fostering innovation, and managing sizable budgets.

Qualifications

15+ years of progressive technology leadership experience with executive responsibility.
Proven success leading technology organizations in retail, consumer, or multi-location environments.
Ability to partner with business leaders to improve customer experience, operations, and financial results.
Experience leading large-scale technology transformations and enterprise capability adoption.
Strong understanding of retail tech ecosystems including ERP, commerce, supply chain, data, and customer engagement.

Responsibilities

Serve as a business leader first and technology leader second.
Partner with Stores/Operations, Marketing & eCommerce leaders to improve business outcomes.
Maximize ROI on technology investments through adoption, integration, and process improvement.
Establish and track measurable outcomes for major technology initiatives.
Use data, automation, and AI to improve customer experience, team productivity, and decision-making.
Improve frontline store team effectiveness through technology and process improvements.
Ensure technology enables seamless customer experience across stores and digital channels.
Engage with stores and distribution centers to identify opportunities to simplify work and reduce friction for customers and teams.
Partner with Marketing/eCommerce to strengthen customer engagement, loyalty, personalization, and omnichannel experiences.
Define and lead the technology strategy to support Murdoch's objectives and growth.
Own performance, reliability, security, and cost-effectiveness of Murdoch's core tech platforms (ERP, POS, eCommerce, supply chain, infrastructure, data).
Balance operational excellence with strategic planning and disciplined execution of tech initiatives.
Ensure business continuity, cybersecurity, and governance.
Build a high-performing tech organization that attracts and grows talent.
Foster accountability, collaboration, and business partnership; develop future leaders.

Requirements

Experience leading large-scale technology transformations and driving adoption of enterprise technology capabilities.
Strong understanding of retail technology ecosystems, including ERP, commerce, supply chain, data, and customer engagement platforms.
Track record of building, leading, and developing high-performing teams.
Strong financial, organizational, and change leadership capabilities.
Exceptional communication, influence, and relationship-building skills.
