Caltrans in California seeks a Supervising Transportation Engineer to serve as Chief, Hydraulics Branch in the North Region. The successful candidate will plan, organize, and direct work of Transportation Engineers (Civil) and oversee drainage improvement projects.

Responsibilities include reviewing contract plans, hydraulic analyses, coordinating with other design branches, and ensuring compliance with Caltrans policies.

Formación

• Possession of a Professional Engineer license is required.
• Submit a Statement of Qualification (SOQ) using STD 678 form.
• A valid driver's license is required for operating a state vehicle.

Responsabilidades

• Plan, organize and direct the work of Transportation Engineers as Branch Chief of the District Hydraulics/Stormwater Branch.
• Review and prepare drainage improvement contract plans; hydraulic studies and storm water data reports.
• Coordinate drainage design activities with other design branches and with North Region functional branches.
• Review Maintenance referrals and complaints; ensure compliance with policies and standards.
