Qualifications

• Advanced degree in human resources, public or business administration, or related field is required.
• A first-level degree with two additional years of relevant work experience may be accepted in lieu of the advanced degree.

Responsibilities

• Directs the work programme of the HR Policies Division and allocates resources.
• Develops studies on HR policies for system-wide guidelines and procedures.
• Manages mobility/hardship scheme across the common system; classifies hardship duty stations.
• Formulates policy recommendations and advises the Commission and General Assembly.
• Monitors implementation of policies by UN common system organizations.
• Oversees development of job evaluation standards and related manuals.
