Ascent Hospitality Management, owner of the DoubleTree by Hilton Montgomery Downtown, seeks a Hotel Chief Engineer to lead the property’s maintenance and engineering operations in Montgomery, AL. You will oversee guest rooms, public spaces, and building systems to ensure safety, reliability, and top‑notch guest experiences.

The role requires strong technical expertise, team leadership, preventative maintenance programs, project management, budgeting, and vendor relationships.

Qualifications

• Experience in a senior hotel engineering leadership role (Chief Engineer, Director of Engineering, etc.).
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, mechanical, life-safety, and building systems.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of the hotel Engineering and Maintenance department.
• Lead, train, coach, and develop Engineering team members.
• Establish and manage preventative maintenance programs.
• Coordinate with vendors and outside contractors for repairs and projects.
• Assist with budgets, capital expenditure planning, and renovations.
• Monitor utility usage and identify cost-saving opportunities.
