Job summary

American College of Healthcare Executives seeks a hospital administrator to lead Delta Memorial Hospital under the Board of Directors. You will develop organizational plans, budgets, supervise staff, and ensure high-quality patient care with medical staff collaboration.

The role requires advanced degree in hospital administration, substantial management experience in comparable facilities, and strong leadership and financial acumen to advance strategic objectives.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in hospital administration preferred; Bachelor’s degree in administration or related field required.
• Experience as an administrator of a hospital of comparable size for 3 years, or as an assistant administrator for 5 years.
• In-depth knowledge of hospital administration and healthcare field; strong managerial skills.
• Strong verbal, quantitative and interpersonal skills.
• Must be able to develop and maintain policies and supervise staff.

Responsibilities

• Carry out policies established by the Board of Directors and advise on policy formation.
• Develop and submit to the Board a plan of organization for hospital operations.
• Prepare an annual budget showing expected revenue and expenditures.
• Select, employ, control, and discharge hospital employees and maintain staff policies.
• Maintain physical property in good repair and operating condition.
• Supervise finances to ensure funds are used effectively.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality patient care.
• Present periodic reports to the Board of Directors and its committees.
