Job summary

ScionHealth is seeking a Chief Operating Officer to lead hospital operations and drive strategic initiatives. You will direct clinical, ancillary, and support departments, aligning them with the organization’s mission and regulatory requirements.

The role requires extensive leadership experience, budgeting proficiency, and a focus on quality and safety outcomes. Collaboration with executive leadership and governance bodies is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in nursing required.
• Master’s degree in healthcare administration, business administration, public health or clinical specialty required.
• Five years’ experience in healthcare administration/management, with min two years in a senior nursing management level.
• Two years’ COO/CEO level experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage and direct the hospital's overall operations to meet strategic objectives.
• Lead the development, interpretation and communication of hospital policies and procedures.
• Oversee budgeting and financial performance to ensure operations stay within approved budgets.
• Promote quality, safety, and regulatory compliance across clinical and non-clinical departments.
• Serve on the hospital executive committee and other governance bodies as designated.
