Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and visionary Chief Growth Officer (CGO)to lead our strategic growth initiatives and drive business development across our federal portfolio. As a key member of the executive leadership team, the CGO will oversee corporate growth strategy, capture management, proposal operations, marketing, strategic partnerships, and customer expansion. This role is mission-critical to advancing the company's presence in the federal marketplace and scaling operations consistent with our strategic objectives.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Growth & Planning:
    • Develop and execute a comprehensive growth strategy aligned with the company’s goals, market trends, and federal priorities.
    • Identify new markets, agencies, and service lines for expansion; guide go/no-go decisions and investment strategies.
    • Lead multi-year planning efforts focused on pipeline development, brand positioning, and service innovation.
  • Business Development & Capture:
    • Oversee the Business Development (BD) and Capture Management teams, providing guidance on opportunity identification, qualification, and capture planning.
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with federal agency decision-makers, industry partners, and teaming collaborators.
    • Drive strategic capture efforts for large-scale prime and subcontract opportunities, including GWACs, IDIQs, and BPAs.
  • Proposal & Marketing Oversight:
    • Supervise the Proposal Center, ensuring submission of compliant, compelling, and winning proposals.
    • Collaborate with technical teams, pricing, and contracts to align proposal strategies with agency needs and evaluation criteria.
    • Manage marketing and communications to promote the brand, highlight capabilities, and support BD campaigns.
  • Foster a network of strategic partners, including small business allies, large system integrators, and technology firms.
  • Champion innovation by introducing new service offerings, delivery models, and technology partnerships that enhance value to federal clients.
  • Support M&A initiatives, due diligence, and integration efforts for acquired capabilities or companies.
  • Leadership & Metrics:
    • Serve as a senior leader and thought partner to the CEO, Board, and Executive Team.
    • Establish and track KPIs for growth performance, pipeline health, win rate, and customer satisfaction.
    • Lead and mentor high-performing growth teams to align efforts, build competencies, and sustain performance.

Necessary Skills and Knowledge:
  • Deep understanding of federal acquisition processes, proposal development, and contract vehicles (e.g., GSA MAS, OASIS+, SEWP, CIO-SP4).
  • Strong relationships across government agencies, industry groups, and solution providers.
  • Experience with federal small business programs, socio-economic designations, and teaming strategies.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • 15+ years of progressive experience in federal government contracting, with 5+ years in a senior growth leadership role.
  • Proven track record of leading BD and capture for prime contracts with civilian and/or defense agencies.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience working with mid-sized contractors ($100M–$500M annual revenue)
  • Technical knowledge in areas such as IT services, program management, cyber, or digital transformation
  • Familiarity with Salesforce, GovWin, and other pipeline management tools
  • Possess a Bachelor's degree or higher in Business, Public Administration, or related field
