Job description

Provides excellent customer service to guests during registration and checkout. Coordinates essential Front Desk responsibilities to ensure accurate guest registration. Collaborates with the Hotel Training Manager to train new desk clerks. Completes daily reports promptly and assists Front Desk staff with questions or issues. Supports the Hotel Manager by providing feedback and maintaining a positive work environment. Keeps to the daily break schedule and adheres to attendance, departmental, and company policies.

Secondary Job Functions:

Fulfills assigned duties, models professional behavior, and complies with all company policies and legal regulations.

Responsibilities include:

  1. Processing check-in and check-out transactions.
  2. Assisting guests with inquiries about the hotel and local area.
  3. Helping guests book dining, entertainment, and other services.
  4. Participating in guest service recovery efforts.
  5. Maintaining a positive attitude at all times.
  6. Staying informed about hotel events to better assist guests.
  7. Expediting guest requests on behalf of guests.
  8. Maintaining professionalism and courtesy towards all guests.
  9. Anticipating guest needs and expectations.
  10. Supervising team members.
  11. Willing to work any shift and stand for long periods.
  12. Preferred experience in Front Desk, VIP services, or LMS/CMS systems.
  13. Excellent customer service, communication, and multitasking skills required.

Essential Requirements:

Education: High School diploma or equivalent required; college degree preferred.

Experience: At least one year of customer service experience; supervisory experience preferred. Hotel, reservations, or PBX experience a plus. College degree preferred.

Abilities: Strong communication skills, team player, well-groomed appearance, flexible schedule.
