Reputable Construction Company is seeking a Chief Financial Officer to lead finance for construction projects, drive profitability, and shape the financial strategy of the organization. You will oversee budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow while guiding capital planning and investment decisions.

The role requires deep construction accounting knowledge, proficiency with Vista by Trimble and Procore, and strong leadership to align finance with operations and project teams.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a CFO, Controller, or senior finance leader in the construction industry.
• Deep knowledge of construction accounting principles, including WIP schedules, retainage, and percentage-of-completion revenue recognition.
• Proficiency with construction ERP systems (Vista by Trimble and Procore).
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence and collaborate across departments.
• Strategic mindset with hands-on problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead all financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management, with a focus on construction-specific challenges like job costing and progress billing.
• Oversee project financial performance, ensuring accurate cost tracking, margin analysis, and timely reporting for multiple concurrent builds.
• Partner with the CEO and executive team to develop long-term growth strategies, including capital planning and investment opportunities.
• Implement and refine financial systems and controls to improve efficiency, accuracy, and compliance.
• Manage relationships with banks, bonding companies, auditors, and key stakeholders.
• Provide clear, actionable insights to project managers and department heads to support operational excellence.
