The successful candidate will bring strong experience within packaging, manufacturing or a related industrial environment, with a clear understanding of the financial dynamics of multi-site manufacturing businesses.
This is not simply a reporting-focused finance position. The CFO will be expected to operate commercially, challenge the business, support strategic decision-making and work closely with Operations, Sales and executive leadership.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the company's overall financial strategy, planning, reporting and controls.
- Partner closely with the CEO and executive leadership team on growth strategy, investment decisions and business performance.
- Own annual budgeting, forecasting, financial modelling and long-range planning.
- Provide clear visibility around revenue, EBITDA, margins, cash flow and working capital.
- Drive profitability initiatives across manufacturing operations, including plant performance, labor, material usage, waste, freight and overhead costs.
- Develop detailed understanding of product, customer and SKU-level profitability.
- Partner with commercial leadership around pricing strategy, customer contracts, cost pass-through mechanisms and margin management.
- Oversee capital allocation and CAPEX planning, including investment in manufacturing equipment, automation and capacity expansion.
- Strengthen financial controls, reporting processes, systems and KPIs across the organization.
- Manage banking relationships, financing structures, debt facilities and treasury activity.
- Lead cash management and working capital improvement across inventory, receivables and payables.
- Support acquisition activity including financial due diligence, valuation, transaction modelling and post-acquisition integration.
- Provide financial leadership around facility expansions, consolidations, restructuring and operational improvement programs.
- Deliver accurate financial reporting to ownership, the Board and other key stakeholders.
- Lead, develop and build a high-performing finance organization.

- Freight and logistics costs
- Customer and product profitability
- Pricing and inflation recovery
- Inventory management
- Capital equipment ROI

The role will require someone comfortable moving between Board-level strategy and plant-level operational detail.
The successful candidate is likely to bring:
- Significant senior finance leadership experience within packaging, manufacturing, converting or a related industrial sector.
- Previous experience as a CFO, Divisional CFO, VP Finance or senior financial leader within a meaningful manufacturing organization.
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing accounting, costing and operational finance.
- Experience operating within a multi-site manufacturing environment.
- Demonstrated success improving profitability, margins, cash flow and working capital.
- Strong commercial instincts with the ability to partner effectively with Sales and Operations.

- Strong leadership skills with the ability to build and develop finance teams.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to translate complex financial information into clear commercial decisions.
Leadership Style
We are looking for a CFO who is:
Commercial. Operational. Analytical. Hands-on.
Someone capable of challenging assumptions while remaining a genuine business partner.
The successful individual should be comfortable walking a manufacturing floor one day and presenting strategic recommendations to the Board the next.
