Creative Financial Staffing, LLC is partnering with a Baltimore County engineering firm to recruit a Chief Financial Officer. This hybrid role leads the accounting function, drives strategic financial planning, and mentors a talented team to support rapid growth.

The position offers a base salary of $150,000–$200,000 with bonus potential, strong benefits, and a flexible hybrid work model with three days on-site. Prior CFO‑level experience in Architecture/Engineering/Construction is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA preferred.
• 10+ years in accounting/finance with CFO or senior leadership.
• Architecture/Engineering/Construction industry experience required.
• Proven leadership and ability to mentor accounting and finance teams.
• Strong strategic thinking, operations focus, and cross‑functional partnering.

Responsibilities

• Serve as strategic partner to CEO and leadership, advising on financial decisions.
• Lead long‑term financial planning, growth initiatives, and operational improvements.
• Monitor performance metrics and profitability; provide actionable insights to leadership.
• Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting and close processes.
• Manage budgeting, forecasting, cash flow, and financial analysis.
• Supervise accounting operations including AP, AR, payroll, billing, and project accounting.
• Mentor and strengthen accounting processes and controls across the team.

Chief Financial Officer(CFO) Key Responsibilities

• Serve as a strategic partner to the CEO and leadership team, providing financial guidance and supporting key business decisions.
• Drive long-term financial planning, operational improvements, and growth initiatives.

• Architecture, Engineering, or Construction industry experience required
• Proven experience leading, developing, and mentoring accounting and finance teams.
• Strong strategic, operational, and leadership skills with the ability to partner effectively with executive management.
• Experience driving financial planning, performance management, process improvements, and organizational growth.
• Deltek experience a plus
