The ideal candidate has 15+ years of progressive finance leadership, strong manufacturing experience, and a hands-on leadership approach.

Qualifications

  • MBA/CPA/CFA or equivalent professional credential preferred.
  • Minimum 15 years of progressive finance leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

  • Lead financial strategy to support growth, margin expansion, and cash generation.
  • Partner with CEO/shareholders on strategic initiatives and capital investments.
  • Oversee budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and KPIs across global operations.
  • Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP and local statutory requirements across subsidiaries.

Job Title: Chief Financial Officer (CFO)

Reports to: Chief Executive Officer (CEO)

What you’ll do: The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) is a core member of the executive leadership team, responsible for overseeing the financial health, strategy, and governance of a privately held, U.S.-based multinational manufacturing business. The CFO partners closely with the CEO, shareholders, and senior leadership to drive profitable growth, operational excellence, disciplined capital allocation, and long-term enterprise value across global manufacturing and supply-chain operations.

Duties / Responsibilities of this position:

Financial Strategy & Business Partnership

  • Develop and execute the company’s financial strategy to support growth, margin expansion, and strong cash generation.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to the CEO and shareholders on strategic initiatives, capital investments, and enterprise risk.
  • Support long-term strategic planning, including new plant investments, geographic expansion, and product portfolio optimization.
  • Balance near-term financial performance with sustainable long-term value creation.

Manufacturing & Operational Finance

  • Partner with operations, supply chain, and commercial leaders to improve plant performance, cost structure, and productivity.
  • Oversee global product costing, standard cost systems, variance analysis, and margin management.
  • Lead working capital optimization initiatives across inventory, receivables, and payables.
  • Guide capital expenditure (CapEx) planning, ROI analysis, and post-investment performance reviews.

Financial Planning, Reporting & Analysis

  • Lead global budgeting, forecasting, and long-range financial planning processes.
  • Deliver accurate, timely financial reporting and actionable insights for executive leadership and shareholders.
  • Define, monitor, and communicate KPIs related to manufacturing efficiency, profitability, cash flow, and growth.
  • Ensure appropriate transparency while maintaining confidentiality consistent with a privately held company.

Accounting, Controls & Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP and local statutory requirements across international subsidiaries.
  • Maintain robust internal controls and governance appropriate for a private manufacturing enterprise.
  • Oversee external audits, tax compliance, and statutory filings across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Ensure proper accounting for inventory, fixed assets, capital projects, intercompany transactions, and global transfer pricing policies.

Treasury, Cash Flow & Risk Management

  • Manage global cash flow, liquidity, and banking relationships.
  • Optimize capital structure and oversee debt facilities, as applicable.
  • Manage foreign exchange exposure, commodity pricing risk, and other financial market risks.
  • Oversee insurance programs and enterprise risk management activities.

Mergers, Acquisitions & Strategic Investments

  • Evaluate and execute acquisitions, joint ventures, and strategic investments aligned with growth objectives.
  • Lead financial due diligence, valuation, transaction structuring, and integration planning.
  • Ensure effective post-acquisition integration and realization of financial and operational synergies.

Leadership & Organizational Development

  • Build, lead, and develop a high-performing global finance and accounting organization.
  • Embed finance business partners within operational functions to strengthen decision-making.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and financial discipline.
  • Ensure succession planning and ongoing talent development within the finance organization

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field (required).
  • MBA, CPA, CFA, or equivalent professional credential (preferred).
  • Minimum 15 years of progressive finance leadership experience, including senior executive roles.
  • Significant experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably within a multinational organization.
  • Strong background in cost accounting, inventory management, and capital-intensive operations.
  • Experience working with owners, family shareholders, or private-equity sponsors strongly preferred.
  • Strong operational and commercial acumen with a hands‑on leadership approach.
  • Deep understanding of manufacturing economics and global supply‑chain finance.
  • Proven ability to lead complex organizations across regions, cultures, and facilities.
  • Pragmatic, results‑oriented, and effective at translating strategy into execution.
  • High integrity, sound judgment, and commitment to ethical business practices.
  • Clear, confident, and persuasive communicator with executives, shareholders, and operational leaders.
  • Significant travel required, including international flights up to 15 hours; approximately 9+ trips per year.
