Job summary

LHH is recruiting a hands-on VP of Finance & Accounting for a Shepherdsville, KY-based manufacturing/construction operation. The role partners with the CFO and President to drive growth, strengthen controls, and build scalable finance processes.

The executive will lead finance, accounting, treasury, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting, while delivering actionable insights to support expansion and banking relationships.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 10+ years of progressive financial leadership experience, including senior finance responsibility.
• Strong manufacturing or construction industry experience.
• Deep understanding of financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, cash flow and internal controls.
• Experience managing external audits and banking relationships.
• Strong analytical, communication, and business partnering skills.

Responsibilities

• Partner closely with the leadership team to develop and execute long-term growth strategies.
• Lead accounting, finance, treasury, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting functions.
• Ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Develop and maintain KPIs, dashboards, and operational metrics to support decision making.
• Oversee annual audited financial statements and maintain relationships with external auditors.
• Partner with operations leadership to improve profitability, productivity, cost management, and inventory efficiency.
• Analyze manufacturing performance, margins, pricing strategies, and operational metrics.
• Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
• Build scalable finance processes and organizational structure to support future growth.

LHH is assisting our Shepherdsville manufacturing and construction client in their search for a hands-on, strategic, and forward-thinking VP of Finance & Accounting to serve as a key member of the executive leadership team and trusted business partner to the CFO and President. Reporting directly to the the CFO, the VP of Finance & Accounting will oversee all financial operations while helping guide the organization through its next phase of growth and scalability. The ideal candidate will bring strong manufacturing and/or construction experience, deep operational finance expertise, and the ability to provide sophisticated financial insights to support continued expansion, banking relationships, and future strategic initiatives.

Role Functions:
