Job summary

Maximus Partners, LLC is engaged to identify a Chief Financial Officer for a leading nonprofit health organization serving the Philadelphia region. The CFO will partner with the CEO, leadership team, and Board to guide financial strategy, planning, and performance across all finance functions.

The role focuses on strengthening budgeting, reporting, reimbursement strategies, and long-term sustainability while developing meaningful KPIs and dashboards to support mission-driven growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field; CPA strongly preferred.
• Experience in healthcare, human services, nonprofit healthcare, or similarly complex funding environments.
• 10+ years of progressive financial leadership with executive and board exposure.
• Strong budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, cash flow management, and strategic planning experience.
• Familiarity with grants, Medicaid, managed care, fee-for-service reimbursement, and government funding structures is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead finance and accounting across the organization and report to CEO.
• Partner with Executive Leadership Team, Board, and Finance Committee to drive growth and financial sustainability.
• Develop KPIs and dashboards; strengthen planning, budgeting, and reimbursement strategies.
• Translate financial data into actionable insights and drive process improvements.

We have been engaged to conduct a Chief Financial Officer search for a leading nonprofit health organization dedicated to improving the lives throughout the Philadelphia region.

Reporting directly to the CEO, the CFO will serve as a strategic partner to the Executive Leadership Team, Board of Directors, and Finance Committee during an exciting period of growth and innovation. This executive will provide leadership across all finance and accounting functions while helping to strengthen financial planning and analysis, budgeting, reimbursement strategies, management reporting, operational performance, and long-term financial sustainability.

The CFO will play a critical role in supporting organizational growth, expanding services, enhancing financial systems and reporting capabilities, developing meaningful KPIs and dashboards, and ensuring the organization remains well-positioned to fulfill its mission.
