Job description

The Overture Group has launched a confidential search for a Chief Financial Officer for a well-established, privately held manufacturing organization in the greater Chicago area.

This is an outstanding opportunity for an operationally oriented finance executive to serve as a trusted business partner to the CEO and leadership team. The incoming CFO will help translate financial and operational data into better business decisions, strengthen profitability, and ensure the organization realizes the full return on its recent investments.

We are seeking a high-energy, self-directed leader who is equally comfortable in the executive conference room and on the plant floor.

The ideal candidate will bring:

• Strong knowledge of cost accounting, margins, inventory, working capital, and plant operations
• A demonstrated ability to improve profitability and operational performance
• Experience strengthening forecasting, cash-flow management, reporting, and financial controls
• The ability to evaluate, develop, and lead a finance organization
• A collaborative but confident leadership style
• High emotional intelligence and the ability to influence others without creating unnecessary friction
• International, cross-border, or foreign-parent-company experience, which would be beneficial but is not required

During the first 12 to 24 months, the CFO will be expected to improve visibility into plant, product, customer, and program profitability; strengthen working capital management; evaluate capital investments; improve management reporting; and support strategic growth and diversification initiatives.

The anticipated base salary range is approximately $250,000 to $350,000, plus an annual incentive opportunity and the potential to participate in a long-term incentive program.
