Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA or MBA preferred.
• 8+ years of progressively responsible financial roles, with healthcare experience.
• Strong Controllers and VP Finance readiness encouraged to apply.
• Strong business partner experience and cross-functional collaboration.
• Proficiency with BI tools, AI, CRM software, and large-scale system implementations.
• Hands-on leader willing to roll up sleeves and build.

Responsibilities

• Develop weekly reporting templates to track performance against forecast.

Connect Search is conducting a confidential search for a Chief Financial Officer on behalf of a fast-growing, multi-site outpatient healthcare platform headquartered in Chicago's western suburbs. The company recently received a growth investment from a private capital firm and is entering its next phase of growth.

The Opportunity

This is a hands-on, builder role for an experienced finance leader who will serve as a strategic and operational partner to the CEO and COO. You will own forecasting, reporting, and cash management across a rapidly growing, multi-location healthcare platform, while modernizing financial systems, evaluating expansion opportunities, and mentoring a small but growing finance team.

What You'll Do

• Partner directly with the CEO and COO to build financial and operational roadmaps in support of strategic objectives
• Lead development of a forecast model across all locations, accounting for headcount, physical capacity, and staffing by treatment modality
• Build weekly departmental reporting templates that track performance against forecast
• Maintain rolling thirteen-week cash flow projections
• Manage monthly financial statements and board reporting, building audit-readiness into financial processes
• Oversee and mentor two financial staff members
• Assist in tax preparation and coordination with external tax advisors
• Oversee Revenue Cycle Management, including billing, denials management, fee schedules, payor contract negotiations, and collections
• Oversee IT partners on BI technology and system implementations tied to financial reporting and KPIs
• Evaluate new contracts and renewals for financial implications and assist in negotiations
• Perform market research to evaluate expansion opportunities by facility or service line

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA or MBA preferred
