Abacus Group, LLC seeks a Chief Financial Officer to join our Manhattan, NY office. The role leads FP&A, financial reporting, and treasury, guiding strategic growth and profitability.

Responsibilities include governance of accounting, budgeting, and capital planning, with close collaboration with owners on investments, real estate, and ventures. A seasoned leader with wholesale distribution exposure is preferred.

Competenze

• 12–25 years of progressive finance and accounting experience, ideally as CFO or Controller transitioning to CFO.
• Broad financial leadership experience including accounting oversight, FP&A, cash management, and financial reporting.
• Experience working with banks, lenders, and factoring partners.
• Wholesale distribution or related industry experience.
• Ability to work closely with business owners and support investments, real estate, and joint ventures.
• Strong leadership skills and ability to develop an established accounting team.

• Establish and lead FP&A function with budgeting, forecasting, and long-term planning.
• Develop financial reporting packages and analyze performance for insights on revenue, margins, EBITDA, working capital, and cash flow.
• Evaluate performance, identify trends and risks, and advise senior leadership on pricing, profitability, and initiatives.
• Manage cash flow forecasting, liquidity monitoring, and working capital optimization (receivables, inventory, payables).

Our client is a wholesale firm. They seek a Chief Financial Officer to join their Manhattan, NY office.

Responsibilities

• Establish and lead the FP&A function, developing financial processes, reporting tools, budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning.
• Develop financial reporting packages, analyze business performance, and deliver actionable insights on revenue, margins, EBITDA, working capital, and cash flow.
• Evaluate financial and operational performance, identify trends and risks, and provide recommendations to senior leadership on pricing, profitability, inventory, and business initiatives.
• Manage cash flow forecasting, liquidity monitoring, and working capital optimization, including accounts receivable, inventory, accounts payable, and cash conversion cycle improvements.
• Oversee lender and factoring relationships, coordinate financial reporting requirements, monitor borrowing availability and compliance, and support financing negotiations.
• Supervise accounting operations, monthly close, financial statements, general ledger integrity, reconciliations, revenue recognition, and inventory accounting.
• Strengthen financial controls, accounting policies, reporting processes, and systems while coordinating with external accounting and tax advisors.
• Coordinate tax compliance, planning, filings, payments, and related documentation with external advisors across applicable tax jurisdictions.
• Collaborate with senior leadership on financial strategy, growth initiatives, pricing, customer and product profitability, capital expenditures, and potential acquisitions.
• Develop financial models, scenario analyses, and strategic recommendations to improve margins, manage operating expenses, strengthen liquidity, and support profitable growth.

Requirements

• Bring 12-25 years of progressive finance and accounting experience, ideally as a CFO or Controller ready to transition into a CFO role.
• Demonstrate broad financial leadership experience, including accounting oversight, FP&A, cash management, and financial reporting.
