FinStrat Management, Inc. is seeking a client-facing Chief Financial Officer to lead virtual CFO engagements, drive growth strategies, and implement scalable financial frameworks for clients.

You will guide financial planning, budgets, forecasting, and closing processes while collaborating with client CROs and sales teams to optimize contracts and liquidity for expanding SaaS businesses.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of financial experience with CFO or VP of Finance in a SaaS or software company.
• Strong understanding of software revenue recognition and SaaS metrics.
• Experience leading fundraising efforts for growth-stage companies.

Responsibilities

• Manage FSM client engagements as a virtual Chief Financial Officer.
• Provide insight on growth strategy and financial implications of major decisions.
• Implement controls, policies, and systems for timely, accurate data across clients.
• Analyze financial results with focus on profits, trends, and budgets.
• Present insights on financial results and key metrics with clear narrative.
• Lead financial transactions including financing, acquisitions, facilities, and partnerships.
• Manage cash and debt to maintain liquidity for growth.
• Collaborate with CRO and sales teams on contracts.
• Liaise between clients and external legal counsel.
• Oversee stock option, commission, and benefit plans.
• Direct FSM staff on client engagements and ensure quality deliverables.

The Role FinStrat Management (“FSM”) is seeking a motivated individual to join our team as a client-facing Chief Financial Officer. This is a great opportunity to build a team, implement best practices, and help scale both our company and our clients.

Responsibilities

• Manage FSM client engagements as a virtual Chief Financial Officer
• Provide insight and recommendations related to clients’ growth strategy, as well as input regarding the financial implications of major business decisions
• Implement controls, frameworks, policies and systems that capture and utilize timely and accurate data across clients’ business, as well as financial planning, budgets, forecasting and closing processes
• Analyze clients’ financial results with respect to profits, trends, cost and compliance with budgets
• Present and provide insight on financial results with a narrative on results, variances to plan, trends, and key metrics
• Provide leadership in the execution of financial transactions, including financing, acquisitions, facilities, and partnerships
• Manage cash utilization, and debt facilitates to maintain a strong foundation of liquidity for clients’ growth
• Collaborate with clients’ CRO and sales team on contracts and contract processes
• Serve as a liaison between clients and their outside legal counsel
• Oversee clients’ stock option, commission, and benefit plans
• Direct and support FSM staff assigned to client engagements
• Ensure deliverables meet FSM’s quality standard
• Provide five-star client service

Job Requirements

Professional background

• 10+ years of financial experience with recent experience as CFO or VP of Finance at a growing SaaS or software company
• Solid understanding of software revenue recognition, SaaS metrics, and associated best practices
• Success implementing and optimizing process, procedures, and infrastructure to enable scale and support growth (organic and inorganic)
• Experience in leading fundraising efforts, ideally at a growth stage company
