This business has a complex operational footprint, a high volume of SKUs, and clear ambition for growth - both organic and through acquisitions. The sponsor anticipates an exit in 12-18 months' time.

This is a hands-on, high-impact opportunity for a commercially minded CFO to transform and elevate the finance function. The incoming CFO will partner closely with the CEO and investors to evaluate the existing team and organizational structure, upgrade capabilities where needed, strengthen financial and operational discipline, and help position the business for an anticipated exit.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assess and strengthen the finance organization, evaluating the existing team and rebuilding / upgrading, where needed.
  • Enhance financial reporting, controls, forecasting, and visibility to support better decision-making across the business.
  • Lead FP&A, budgeting, cash flow, and working capital management, with a strong focus on operational performance.
  • Partner closely with operational leadership to drive accountability, improve margins, and identify opportunities for value creation.
  • Support the business through its next phase of growth and prepare the organization for an anticipated exit.
  • Act as a strategic partner to the CEO, Board, and investors, while remaining hands-on in the day-to-day finance function.
Requirements:
  • Current CFO or highly experienced finance leader with a track record operating in complex, multi-site manufacturing environments.
  • Experience working within a private equity-backed environment and partnering closely with investors and Boards.
  • Demonstrated experience assessing, building, and upgrading finance teams and infrastructure.
  • Strong operational finance capabilities, with experience driving performance, reporting, forecasting, and financial discipline.
  • Prior experience supporting a sale or exit process strongly preferred.
