Job summary

Finatal is partnering with a private equity fund to appoint a new CFO to one of its global business services portfolio companies. The CFO will partner with the CEO to integrate acquisitions, chase new deals, consolidate the global finance function, and support exit prep.

The role demands international multi-entity leadership, a track record of scaling revenue from $200M to $400M+, and hands-on M&A and post‑acquisition integration experience, including applying AI and automation in finance.

Qualifications

• 3+ years as CFO in PE-backed scale-ups or growth companies.
• International, multi-entity finance leadership experience.
• Proven track record of scaling revenue from ~$200M to >$400M.
• Hands-on experience with M&A and post-acquisition integration.

The business has scaled rapidly through M&A and is targeting a 2027 exit. The CFO will partner with the CEO to integrate acquisitions, chase new deals, consolidate the global finance function, and support exit prep.

Key Responsibilities

• Partner with the CEO on strategic planning and investment priorities.
• Lead finance workstreams on acquisitions, including due diligence and deal analysis.
• Integrate acquired businesses into a single reporting and finance framework.
• Prepare the business for exit in partnership with the ELT, sponsor, and Board.
• Apply AI and automation to modernize finance operations.
• Lead an international finance team and consolidate employees inherited through acquisition.
• Strengthen FP&A and forecasting to support decision-making.
• Provide clear insight into profitability to inform pricing.
• Oversee treasury, working capital, and banking relationships.
• Own tax, insurance, and legal functions.

Qualifications

• Experienced CFO with 3+ years in CFO seat, including experience with PE-backed businesses of scale.
• Background in business services, B2B or technology services, preferably in a people-driven business.
• International, multi-entity finance leadership experience.
• Proven record of scaling a business from roughly $200M to more than $400M in revenue.
• Extensive M&A and post-acquisition integration experience.
• Hands-on experience implementing AI and automation in finance.
• Strong presence with Boards and investors.
• US-based, Eastern or Central time zones preferred with travel 1-2x per month
