JM Search is seeking a Chief Financial Officer for a privately owned, $200 million U.S.-based manufacturing company. The CFO will lead finance, accounting, and IT, partnering with the CEO and owners to drive performance and growth.

Responsibilities include managing annual budgets and rolling forecasts, optimizing plant metrics, overseeing cost accounting, and evaluating bolt-on acquisitions. A hands-on leader with strong ethics and communication skills is essential.

Qualifications

• 15-25 years of accounting/finance experience required.
• Prior CFO experience for a manufacturing entity is essential.
• MBA or higher degree preferred; CPA is a plus.

The Chief Financial Officer will lead the financial and accounting area for this privately owned, investment backed $200 million U.S. based manufacturer.

Responsibilities

• Oversee annual budgets, rolling forecasts, cash flow, providing insight and understanding key metrics that drive the business.
• Work with operations leadership to optimize plant metrics, scrap monitoring, inventory levels, and cost accounting. This individual will be responsible for analyzing direct and indirect manufacturing costs.
• This individual will work with senior leadership and owners in the evaluation and execution of potential bolt on acquisitions.
• The successful CFO candidate will work closely with the CEO to develop a successful strategy to grow the business. This will include interfacing with Sales and Marketing, Product Development, Engineering, Human Resources and Operations looking at potential opportunities to improve their performance.
• The scope of this role will include accounting, finance, IT, and human resources.

Qualifications and Experience

• 15-25 years’ experience of accounting and finance with at least one successful term as CFO for a manufacturing entity
• Successful candidate must be a hands‑on leader, with a curious mindset and comfortable being out and about looking at ways of improving company performance.
• Ideal candidate must have a four‑year degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business with an MBA an added plus. CPA nice to have.
• Individual should have a strong understanding of cost accounting and possess excellent communication skills. In addition, they should have strong ethics/integrity and be constantly striving to drive high standards for their team.
• This person should also have integration experience working with bolt on acquisitions.
• The successful candidate must have a strong understanding of cash management and possess a private investment mindset.
