The role provides strategic financial leadership as the company progresses, partnering with executives and the finance team to strengthen reporting, forecasting, and overall financial infrastructure.

Location: Atlanta, GA preferred; remote considered for the right candidate. Schedule: Part-time, about 10 hours per week.

Qualifications

• Seasoned financial leader with CFO or fractional CFO background.
• Experience supporting high-growth consumer products or related sectors.
• Strong FP&A, budgeting, forecasting, modeling, and reporting capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Partner with executive leadership on financial strategy, growth, investments and decisions.
• Develop KPIs, dashboards, reporting, and financial models for governance.
• Lead 2027 budgeting, forecasting and scenario planning.
• Assess finance processes and implement scalable controls and policies.
• Prepare year-end audit guidance and support.
• Improve financial reporting cadence and cash flow management.
• Provide guidance on working capital, inventory, and retailer payments.
• Develop reporting across retail, DTC, wholesale and other channels.
• Support board/investor reporting and strategic decision models.
• Assist with international business considerations and cross-functional profitability.

Cherry Bekaert Recruiting & Staffing is partnered with a rapidly growing consumer products company seeking an experienced Fractional Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to provide strategic financial leadership as the organization enters its next phase of growth. This individual will partner closely with executive leadership and the finance team to strengthen the company’s financial infrastructure, enhance reporting and forecasting, and provide strategic and tactical guidance across the business.

Location: Atlanta, GA preferred; remote considered for the right candidate

Schedule: Part-time, approximately 10 hours per week

Engagement: Initial 3-month project with potential for a longer-term opportunity

Responsibilities

• Serve as a strategic financial partner to executive leadership, providing guidance around financial performance, growth initiatives, investments, and business decisions.
• Support the development of KPIs, dashboards, management reporting, and financial models.
• Provide leadership and guidance for 2027 budgeting, forecasting, and scenario modeling.
• Assess current finance and accounting processes and recommend improvements to enhance scalability, efficiency, controls, and accountability.
• Provide year-end audit preparation guidance and support.
• Strengthen financial reporting and help establish an effective financial operating cadence.
• Provide strategic guidance around cash flow, working capital, inventory, purchasing commitments, and retailer payment cycles.
• Develop and enhance reporting across retail, direct-to-consumer, wholesale, and other sales channels.
• Support board and investor reporting and develop financial models to facilitate strategic decision-making.
• Assist with the financial considerations associated with the company’s international business activities.
• Partner cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, eCommerce, Operations, and Product Development to evaluate profitability and key business drivers.

Qualifications

• Significant financial leadership experience at the CFO, Fractional CFO, VP of Finance, or comparable senior finance leadership level.
• Strong CPG / consumer products experience preferred; relevant sales and distribution experience may also be considered.
• Strong background in FP&A, budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, KPI development, and management reporting.
• Experience helping high-growth organizations establish and improve scalable financial processes, controls, policies, and reporting infrastructure.
• Strong understanding of cash flow, working capital, inventory, and channel profitability.
• Experience supporting executive leadership with board and investor-level reporting and financial analysis.
• Ability to operate effectively in a founder‑led, entrepreneurial environment, balancing strategic leadership with hands‑on execution.
• Experience with NetSuite, Shopify, Ramp, and/or Drivepoint is a plus but not required.

The initial engagement is expected to be approximately 10 hours per week for three months, with the potential to develop into a longer-term opportunity. Candidates in the Atlanta area are preferred; however, remote candidates with the appropriate background will be considered.
