Flynn Hospitality is hiring a Chief Facility Maintenance Engineer to lead maintenance operations at the Hilton Garden Inn and Homewood Suites in Montgomery, AL. You will oversee repairs, preventive maintenance, and safety inspections to ensure guest comfort and brand standards.

This hands-on leadership role requires experience in hotel maintenance, supervisory responsibilities, and strong HVAC, electrical, and plumbing skills.

Qualifications

• Experience in hotel or facility maintenance is required.
• Experience leading teams is required.
• HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and building systems maintenance experience.
• Strong troubleshooting and communication skills.
• Willingness to work weekends, holidays, and on-call shifts.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise the maintenance team on repairs and preventive maintenance.
• Prioritize daily work orders, guest service requests, and safety checks.
• Troubleshoot and repair HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and building systems.
• Serve as acting Director of Engineering when needed.
• Ensure compliance with hotel and brand standards; respond to emergencies.

What You’ll Do

As Chief Facility Maintenance Engineer, you will:

• Lead and support the maintenance team on repairs, and maintenance
• Prioritize and assign daily work orders, guest service requests, and safety checks
• Troubleshoot and repair HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and general building systems
• Assist and step in for the Director of Engineering when needed
• Ensure all equipment, systems, and procedures comply with hotel and brand standards
• Respond to emergencies and participate in on-call rotations as required

What You Bring

• Solid work history
• Prior hotel or facility maintenance experience required
• Prior supervisory experience leading teams required
• Proven skills in HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and general building maintenance
• Leadership ability with comfort supervising and training others
• Excellent time management, troubleshooting, and communication skills
• Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and handle on-call situations
• A safety-first mindset and commitment to guest satisfaction
