Flow in San Jose is seeking a Chief Engineer to oversee building operations across a mixed-use residential community, ensuring safety, efficiency, and asset preservation. You will lead a in-house maintenance team, coordinate vendor services, and champion energy‑efficient practices while upholding regulatory compliance.

This role manages budgets, directs preventive maintenance, and reports on financial performance.

Qualifications

• 8–10 years in facilities management with 5+ years in leadership.
• Strong knowledge of building codes, safety, and environmental standards.
• Excellent project, budgeting, and vendor management skills.
• Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus; highly effective communicator.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of building systems including HVAC, electrical and plumbing.
• Lead facilities team and coordinate vendor services for maintenance.
• Develop preventive maintenance programs and safety audits.
• Monitor budgets, expenditures, and cost-saving opportunities.
• Manage contract reviews and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Drive energy efficiency and sustainability initiatives.
• Support all departments to ensure responsive maintenance service.
• Lead risk management and emergency preparedness planning.
