Job summary

Evergreen State College is seeking an Associate Vice President for Facilities Services to lead and oversee all facilities, grounds, and related operations on the Olympia campus. The role reports to the Vice President for Finance and Administration and directs planning, budgeting, and contract management for capital and operating projects.

The position emphasizes sustainability, energy management, safety, compliance, and cross-department collaboration to maintain a high-performing physical plant

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in construction, management, engineering, architecture, or related field.
• Five years of progressively responsible facilities planning and management experience, including senior level management with multiple departments.
• Experience with LEED standards or LEED certification is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provide overall direction and management of the Facilities Services department.
• Prepare long-range strategic facilities plans aligned with the College Master Plan.
• Develop operating and capital budget requests and manage budgets for facilities in compliance with laws and policies.
• Appointing authority for Facilities Services personnel matters.
• Lead in policies and procedures related to facilities and sustainability initiatives.
• Coordinate with external groups to advance greener campus goals and LEED standards.
• Oversee contracts, project management, and capital projects with planning and budgeting input.
