Job summary

New Horizon Academy seeks a Vice President of Construction & Facilities to lead strategic and daily real property operations, including new school development, maintenance budgeting, and vendor relations. This executive will drive capital plans, manage project delivery, and ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards.

The role requires leading a team, coordinating with contractors, and traveling as needed to oversee multiple sites nationwide.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in engineering or related real estate field with at least 5 years of facility management experience.
• At least 5 years of commercial free-standing, ground-up development experience.
• Proficient in Excel, Word, Outlook, CAD, Revit and project management software.

Responsibilities

• Oversee strategic and day-to-day real property operations for New Horizon Academy and Kinderberry Hill locations.
• Lead and develop the facilities and project management team; provide ongoing guidance and professional development.
• Manage new school development including planning, entitlement, design, permitting, bidding and construction.
• Create annual facility capital and maintenance plans and budgets; monitor adherence and adjust as needed.
• Manage relationships with landlords, vendors, engineers, architects, and general contractors.
