Alpha School seeks a Director of External Affairs to lead the organization’s public credibility, media presence, and donor partnerships. You will negotiate agreements, activate campaigns, and ensure accurate attribution of gifts while maintaining legal and policy compliance.

You will work remotely from the United States, committing to a 40-hour week. The role focuses on turning credibility into funding for K-12 gifted education scholarships.

Qualificações

• 2+ years in the field as a teacher, coordinator, testing specialist, admissions lead or advocate, or as a parent/guardian of a gifted child.
• Comfortable in front of microphone or camera; able to handle live and on-camera interviews and press inquiries.
• Proven track record sourcing and signing partnerships with companies, associations or organizations.
• Experience negotiating paid influencer or content-creator agreements and managing partner messaging.
• Ability to explain tax or public policy clearly to the public and master federal scholarship tax-credit rules.
• Based in the United States, available 40 hours a week, and comfortable working remotely.

Responsabilidades

• Serve as the principal spokesperson for gifted education: pitch reporters, lead media appearances, and headline events.
• Set the message: produce video/social content, review materials for accuracy, and coordinate with legal when needed.
• Build partnerships by identifying and winning companies, associations, organizations, and media influencers.
• Negotiate and close agreements, including paid influencer arrangements, to drive donations.
• Track results and report on reach, donations, and engagements, adjusting focus to maximize fundraising.
