Qualifications

• Senior leadership experience in nonprofit/foundation with staff, strategy, and financial management.
• Demonstrated commitment to equity and trust-based philanthropy.
• Experience working with a governing board and translating priorities into goals.
• Strong financial literacy and ability to oversee budgets with advisers.
• Understanding NYC nonprofit landscape or commitment to develop it.
• Experience supporting leadership development or organizational change.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a small five-person team with clear supervision and accountability.
• Set priorities, roles, and consistent feedback practices across the team.
• Oversee strategy, grantmaking, financial stewardship, and external engagement.
• Represent the foundation with nonprofit leaders and philanthropic peers in NYC and nationally.
• Develop relationships beyond existing networks to advance learning and collaboration.
• Contribute to the ongoing development of trust-based philanthropy and leadership development.
