Job summary

EASA is seeking an experienced Executive Director to serve as President & CEO from its office in St. Louis, MO. The role leads the association, partners with the Board, and guides staff to expand impact and achieve the organization’s vision.

A base salary of $200,000–$225,000 plus bonus is offered. Ideal candidates will have a decade of executive leadership, demonstrated success with budgets and strategy, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, Engineering, Nonprofit Management, or related discipline.
• Minimum of ten years of progressively responsible executive leadership experience.
• Experience leading teams, budgets, and strategic initiatives.
• Experience working with Boards of Directors and volunteer leadership.
• Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.
• Ability to travel extensively (approximately 15%).
• Strong marketing, public relations, organizational, staff management, and financial skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and public speaking skills; able to be viewed as an industry expert.
• CAE certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the Chief Executive Officer of the organization.
• Lead organizational change initiatives to implement and execute EASA’s strategic plan.
• Identify opportunities to expand member services, education, certificate programs, technical resources, and global engagement.
• Develop and lead 20+ staff to implement programs, technical support, member services, marketing, and finance.
• Manage business affairs including legal, financial, consultants, and other vendors.
• Ensure strong governance and board relations.
• Develop and oversee the budget to ensure sound fiscal status.
• Provide executive leadership for the Annual EASA Convention and other conferences, educational programs, and technical events.
• Ensure educational offerings and programs meet evolving industry needs.
• Represent the organization as an industry leader in meetings, speaking engagements, and as the principal spokesperson.
