Alabama Institute for Deaf and Blind (AIDB) is seeking a visionary President to guide its K–12 schools, adult services, and statewide network into a new era of excellence. The role reports to the Board of Trustees and requires strategic oversight of education, rehabilitation, and assistive technology services across Alabama.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in a relevant field as listed.
• At least ten years of senior administrative experience in education.
• Experience managing multi-million dollar budgets and capital projects.
• Sign language proficiency at INTERMEDIATE level within 36 months.
• Must pass a comprehensive pre-employment background check.

Responsibilities

• Provide executive leadership across multiple campuses and entities.
• Lead long-range strategic planning and organizational transformation.
• Oversee fiscal governance, budgeting, and compliance with regulations.
• Build statewide and national partnerships with stakeholders.
