Job summary

The Hopi Foundation, based in Kykotsmovi, AZ, seeks an Executive Director to serve as the chief executive officer, guiding day-to-day operations and strategic direction in partnership with the Board. The role focuses on fiscal health through fundraising, program development, communications, and increasing use of technology to serve staff and the Hopi community.

The successful candidate will lead the Administrative Leadership Team, build relationships with stakeholders, and advocate for Hopi

Qualifications

• Six or more years of organizational leadership or management experience.
• Masters or Bachelor's degree in business, social sciences, nonprofit or HR management; or equivalent.
• Ability to lead fundraising and diversify revenue.
• Experience with board governance and community relations.
• Strong written and verbal communication; public speaking.
• Knowledge of Hopi culture strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Partner with the board and staff to guide HF growth.
• Diversify donor base and fundraising strategies.
• Represent HF publicly as spokesperson.
• Oversee financial operations and budgeting.
• Develop and motivate staff and manage operations.
• Ensure regulatory compliance and ethics.
